My Yamaha STAGEPAS 300 went out....(pa speaker mixer)?
Hey I was just wondering if anyone had any idea of what could be happening. The stagepas 300 is known for its fans giving out. Well in my case, they did. Soon after the whole thing went out as well. Now every time I turn the mixer on, i just get this horrible sort of "blown out and static-y" noise coming from the speakers that never goes away. I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find an answer for my predicament. The mixer's first 2 sound level lights remain on while the third one flashes every few seconds.The limiter light stays on red without ever turning off.
I always babied this thing and never even set the master volume up past 50%...plus it's 600 dollars down the drain if i can't figure this out 
@Robert. So that's the end of my little one? there's no hope of repair? Jeez that's a bummer Well, getting another mixer does sound like a good idea especially if its gonna be more powerful...Thanks for the link Robert. I'll check that out!
Your amplifier is blown. Simple as that. That's what they tend to do when they get too hot after the fans stop working.
but don't worry, you're not out $600. The speakers are still good, and that's the best part about the system. For less than $300, you can get an even more powerful mixer like this one.
