I have this speaker box but i think the box volume is too small for the woofer.?
if i fill it with that cotton fiber speaker stuff will it sort of make the box bigger than it really is . im only off about .2 to .3 cubs off.
the cotton fiber will help if you put in just the right amount but not too much or too little. you want it to fit losely inside the box in layers. a good bx can be up to 2 cubic feet off from the proper calculated dimensions. 125.73 cubic inches per 1 inch of speaker is the correct dimension for building a custom box. basiccaly that means that if you have a 12 inch box you would take 12 and multiply it by 125.73 and the answer is how large the inside of your box must be in order to give the proper sound. if your dimensions are off by a few inches its okay but remember that bigger boxes are better for deeper louder bass and smaler boxes are beter for higher pitched and harder hitting bass.
