Which music sequencer program should I get- FL studio or Abelton Live?
i'm a 15 year old musician with experience in recording. i have a 24 track digital mixer that can hold songs, but i don't have a program that i can download them to.
right now i have the option of FL studio (formerly FruityLoops) and Abelton Live.
i've used both enough to get an idea of how they work, but i haven't gone into much detail with either program.
i know abelton is hundreds of dollars more expensive than FL, and i've heard that it's worth it to just go with FL, but i've also heard that abelton is worth the extra money.
i'm also getting more into electronic music so i want to get a program that has lots of options for computer generated effects.
can anyone with experience in these programs tell me which one would be best to look into?
You need to get the one that YOU like best. I happen to use both programs (Ableton Live 7, and FL Studio Producer Edition) and I actually prefer FL Studio.
You say you have used both, use them a little more, until you know what works best for you. Everyone has their own preference in the end. What ever you buy, you can't really go wrong, they are both great programs.
