Is there any default settings for the presonus eureka preamp?
In Pro Tools it says that I'm clipping but the actual Pre isn't at all in the hardware. Why is this? And Why does the tone in my Digi002 Pre's suck unless they're clipping.....And when they say they are I don't hear it. There's no sound of clipping or distortion. My mixes don't sound distinct at all. Cluttered. Please help.
In pro tools it only take 3 samples of audio to clip the meters.(3/44100 of a second) This is not a reliable meter to determine clipped audio for that reason. Most important is the sound. If you think it sounds okay, than ignore what the meters tell you.
When you say the mixes aren't distinct: its very hard to diagnose without hearing the mix. It may just be an issue of equalization and/or spatialization. That comes with practice and training.
