Axiom 49 MIDI controller not able to sync with Ableton Live 6.0.11..Help please?
I bought my first midi controller yesterday, the axiom 49.
When i got home, i followed the instructions for the midi sync
First, I downloaded the drivers for the M-Audio Axiom 49 onto my computer and then downloaded Ableton Live 6.0.11.
The program (Ableton) gave me directions on how to sync the software to your MIDI controller by going to options --> preferences --> MIDI sync --> select your controller model and then an Input and Output would come up as USB Axiom 49.
However, for me, I chose the correct model, then no Input came up...only an output called Microsoft GS wavelength SW Synth.
I believe that this is the main problem as to why my controller won't function.
Another thing...
When you connect any USB device to your computer, the device name should show up in "My computer". The Axiom 49 does not show up... maybe my computer is not reading it?

Ive got Windows XP not windowns 7 or Vista
If you have Windows 7 64 bit operating system the Axiom will give you issues. I know that it works really well with 32 bit versions of Windows 7, but not 64 bit.
Download the Vista 64 bit drivers and see if that works:
