How to fix an Axiom-25 with a key transposition problem?
Okay, so I produce music on my computer, and everything was going good with my M-Audio, Axiom-25 Midi Keyboard. I had been using it for about a month or two, and it was working just fine. But then one day, I was playing with it, and my 21 month old nephew pressed a few buttons on it, I don't know which ones he pressed, but since then, my keyboard plays the 3rd note higher. For example, if I was to press a C on my keyboard, it would show up on the computer as if I was pressing an Eb (E flat). I've tried pretty much everything I can think of, I've pressed all the buttons on the keyboard, which basically did nothing, I've looked on the internet to see if maybe someone else has had this same problem, and of coarse, I've had no luck. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for it, which did nothing, and I even downloaded Enigma, and I tried to send the defaults back into the device, and still nothing, so if anyone can help me out, I would be extremely grateful.
He could have pressed a combination of keys to create this result. Like pressing ctl-alt-del at the same time to bring up the task manager. Or, it could have been coincidental. My keyboard switched the "Y" and "Z" key just the other day. I blew the dust out with a can of air and it started working fine again. I have no idea why it would switch just the 2 keys because of some dust. But you say all the keys play high. This sounds more like some option from a combination of keys. Reset all the controllers to see if that clears the problem. Check the Group A controls and see if they've been altered. If you don't have the user manual you can find it at the link below.
